Having a quacking good time!

I walked to the village castle and saw these tiny mallard ducklings, nine of them out with Mum.

Sad news about the swans - the eggs didn't hatch which means the second year without cygnets as the same happened last year.  Apparently some young boys were throwing things at the sitting bird which might have had something to do with it. I gather that the police went and talked to the children at the school about leaving them alone.
