Waiting Patiently

I was in Sheringham first thing this morning for a walk along the seafront, followed by some shopping. There was a small group of people out swimming, and this character was left tied to the ramp rail and guarding the towel, waiting for their return. I wonder what the dog was thinking about: how much longer will they be; when will I get my breakfast; or maybe why don't they ever let me join them? It's been more overcast today. I potted some things on late morning in the garden, then have been watching the semi-finals at Queens.
