3463. Mom’s Ring

This ring belonged to my late Mom and she wore it almost all of the time.  I absolutely love it but I’m a bit worried that I may damage it and it’s such an unusual design that I doubt I could get it repaired.  The top half is white gold and the bottom half yellow gold and it only seems to be joined in one part of the ring where the hallmark is.  I have been trying to date it but so far I haven't been able to figure it out as the closest I can get to it is 2003 and I know that’s wrong as she had it way before then.  The alternative is 1903/4 and it seems to have a Sheffield mark with a date letter d, but that would make it very old and it doesn’t seem to be more than a hundred years old!  It is definitely a UK hallmark though….

We arrived home today after such a long journey and we’re both shattered.  We caught the bus from the airport and decided to go straight into town to meet the family (with our small suitcases in tow!), but we’re all unpacked and I’m uploading photos right now!
