Broad-bodied Chaser

Well, I didn't expect to see this, this morning. We were sitting in the garden having a cup of tea, as you do, when my wife spotted this dragonfly resting on a wire from my garden lights. I went to get my camera hoping it wouldn't fly off, and managed to get in quite close and take a few shots. It was about two inches long and looked amazing in the sunshine. A first insect blip for me as well.
