'Riqq' - Egyptian Tambourine

A recent purchase in Cairo: a 'riqq' , or Egyptian tambourine handpainted with Oum Kalthum, the internationally famous Egyptian singer, songwriter and film actress from the 30s to the 1970s. Looking round our house here in Barcelona, we've actually got a few little Egyptian things now.
