Selfie with Diederick and Charles
Summer sunshine in Soho Square after lunch with old colleague and friend Diederick. Even Charles II got in on the act with a bottle of wine. We took a selfie to send to our mutual friend Manda after I told D that Manda and I always touch Charles’s foot when we go through the square.
It was a wrench to leave home this morning as the sun shone bright and warm. I managed a quick cup of coffee in the garden whilst dousing my pots that are at last starting to produce more flowers than slug holes
Drove to the station and enjoyed sitting at the junction where loads of swifts were flying in and out of the eves of a lovely old house and wheeling around in the sky.
Day in the office apart from the lunch with Diederick and then went over to East London where I was babysitting. I brought the babies bubbles in little tubes from Tiger which they had a lot of fun with both at the table and in the bath. Beet went off for a drink with a contact and Cheryl met a friend at a pop-up sauna which has emerged on a long empty site. It’s a gesture by the developers to the local community to apologise for how long this patch of land, right by the Olympic park has remained undeveloped. Very East London.
