Pretty Dangerous Fastening

Looking deceptively like Cow Parsley, this Hemlock is deadly to eat, and has been used as a poison for centuries.

Check out the details elsewhere, but on these stems you'll find purple colours at the base of side shoots, the leaves are different and the flowers of the two plants differ only subtly.

Thanks to the hosts of FlowerFriday and wildflower week.
