Midsummer sun in my quiet street

Midsummer - summer solstice - the night when the sun does not go down for over two months, experienced in full in the northernmost part of Finland.

Midsummer is celebrated with dance and bonfires and sauna baths with fresh birch twig whisks. It is the heart of Finnish summer, enjoyed by all, old and young, each with some own variations.
