our first proper one. Last year someone else cut for us and shared. This year we got someone in to square bale. Lovely time after supper propping up the bales. Best build a hay shelter tomorrow.
Mattie went off to his sports club today, but we stopped on the way at the chicken man in Rostrenen market, and got a new Tunnel Dig, a new Marjory and a little brown Trixie. Fingers and toes crossed for them.
Then Nell and I wondered the market (with Babydoll in the pushchair) picking up the odd free cherry for looking so cute. Lots of lovely soft fruit, and we bought some lettuce seedlings. Nice morning. Nerve-wracking evening putting the chickens to bed though.
