New Toothbrush

Strange subject to Blip... I read an advert in the main free paper yesterday that electric toothbrushes would be given away at Waterloo station if you brought your old toothbrush in to recycle.

Knowing Londoner propensity to queue overnight I wasn't sure I'd manage to get my hands on one of the £170 rrp toothbrushes. They plan to give away 750 a day at Waterloo.

I start work at 6.30 anyway, so I took my old toothbrush on my morning's commute. And lo and behold I was given a brand new all bells and whistles toothbrush with 3 replacement heads. Wow!

When I walked away I saw a queue of about 1000 people now lining up through the station. Turns out I was only 1 of the 150 people who received a brush before the brush giveaway was abandoned on congestion concerns in the station.

Feels like Christmas is July. I swapped an old £15 brush for a new brush worth a lot more.
