Me and Orla on the Beach

We went to the beach after dinner for a last opportunity to get photos of the sunset. There happened to be a young couple also taking photos who looked like they knew what they were doing with an impressive camera so I asked them to take one of me and Orla.

We had dinner with Ellie's family this evening and met up with them again later for the Greek music and dancing show. It's a shame that this show meant there was no kids disco for Ellie and Orla on their last night. We said our goodbyes before going to bed as they're away early tomorrow. We don't leave until the evening.

Orla started jumping into the pool from the side this morning, but she would only do it wearing her armbands and rubber ring. She had been jumping off the stage last night and I pointed out to her that the stage was higher than the kids pool was deep and let her come to her own conclusion. I didn't actually suggest that she jumped in, realising that would put her off - it had to be her idea. So Orla and Ellie were both jumping in and I suggested they jump in at the same time. Orla jumped in a little early during the countdown and Ellie took a big strop that she didn't 'win' - she thought it was a race. I then said let's try again and I asked Orla to let Ellie 'win' this time. She did, but then Orla took a big strop because she hasn't won. She only cheered up when I suggested a swimming race in which I would let her win. Once she had won, she was fine again.

Orla went to kids club again in the afternoon. She has been pretty much the youngest there so it's probably good experience for school. She said she really enjoyed it. Afterwards we played in the pirate shop playground.
