Summer Solstice Swim

I didn’t get up for the sunrise. Instead Caroline and I did an evening swim in skins. I wasn’t convinced at first, but I did manage to get my shoulders in eventually. Hence the giddy photos. The lake water should be 18-20 degrees by now. I reckon it was 15-16.
We both felt invigorated afterwards. I was glad of my flask of hot tea.
On the way home we saw lots of tractors decorated with ribbons, ferrying the local schools year 11’s to their Prom.
