Artichokes
Rose early and was out walking hound at 6.30am.
Dental appointment at 9am. It seems a bit of my back tooth chipped off. The dentist patched it with white filling which may last a few years. It was a relief as I worried it may have to be extracted.
As it was a lovely day I cycled to our nearby wholefood warehouse to get refills. Outside the warehouse is a raised bed with vegetables. These artichokes were growing there.
Washed the hound's bedding. Sorted out more books to go to charity.
It's been a busy day.
Mr has bought part-exchange an automatic VW Passat. The previous was a manual Passat.
We've recently discovered he has a inherited neurological condition, Charcot-Marie-Tooth, named after two French doctors and one English. It's a gradual loss of sensation in the extremities and results in muscle wastage as the main symptom. There isn't any cure as yet but exercise and physiotherapy can and does help. As Mr was finding sensation in his left foot when driving wasn't consistent he eventually decided to get an automatic car. Hopefully he'll feel more confident and safer once he stops reaching for the gear stick.
Pleasant evening everyone.
