Today's the day ..................... for Threave Gardens

A lovely visit this morning to NTS Threave Gardens, near Castle Douglas.

The gardens were looking magnificent with everything at its very best.  The urns above by Joe Smith are in the Peace Garden and were gifted by the Dumfriesshire Members Group in 2000.  And in the extra is the magnificent Cornus kousa - a huge tree that is native to Japan, covered in what look like four-petalled white flowers.

Add to that lots of irresistible plants for sale - and coffee and scones - and you have the perfect way to spend a sunny, summer morning ....................
