The Tears of the Gods

Today in Forest School we had some Viking storytelling to fit in with the project the children are doing in class. The story involved going to various places around the site - Odin's face in the old oak tree, the chase between Thor and Loki in the meadow and finally the tears of the gods hanging from the trees near the mud pit. The children collected the tears and took them back to base where the old wise man explained that if they wove them into bracelets the gods would protect them from Loki's tricks.
