...nobody lives here anymore. Our little village of La Higuera has several old houses which lie empty as the owners have either died or moved down to the coast to stay with family to be cared for. I passed this one on my way to the shops today. And in extras a couple of monos.

Yesterday's dramatic skies and unusual weather conditions brought cooler air and a beautifully mild day today. This meant it was good working conditions for strimming the high grasses which have grown up around the verges and paths.It is important to do this as when dry they pose a fire risk.  Mark gets his heavy duty petrol strimmer out and my task is to do the raking and gathering. Team work!
