Orange Lily Time

In the summertime, the backroads of central Pennsylvania are lined with orange lilies. My plant ID program tells me these are orange daylilies, Homerocallus fulva. Some people call them ditch lilies. 

The orange color is very bright and striking at this time of year. As summer goes on, they will fade some. But right now, drive around any backroad and you will see them, like small orange suns, shining out!
