Roots!

This morning there was the painting I do every week with our daughter and her friends, but this time I was in CA with her! I’m slowly learning to use acrylics in thin layers gradually building up the portrait!
This afternoon Ro and I walked to the main road to the secondhand bookstore.  I was hoping to find the book I’m reading.  It’s my daughter’s and she hasn’t read it yet.  No luck!   I’m really enjoying the book:  ‘Under the Whispering Door’ by TJ Klune. I certainly intend to read more of this author’s books!  But we did get an ice-cream at Tucker’s! Yum!

This evening we saw the Oakland Roots, play at their ground for this year at the California State university ground, East Bay.  A very good soccer evening.  The food was good, the players played well and won 2:1.
I even had a weird encounter with a gorgeous little puppy in the toilets! The doors of toilets are quite high in the Staes unlike in England!

The ground is carved out of a hillside overlooking the Bay.  When it was dark you could see the lights of the San Mateo Bridge that leads to the SF airport!
