The other office

I was at the pub before 9am today. Not for a drink, the resurfacing of our road is scheduled to take 4 days. I took the landlady (J9s friend) up on her offer to dump the car in their car park so that I could still head out to meetings.

I thought 4 days was a bit excessive tbh, but after yesterday’s activity stripping off the old tarmac, they didn’t turn up until noon today. They arrived with a whole fleet of huge vehicles, including a massive roller. They dumped them at the bottom of our road & sodded off.
Hopefully tomorrow will see more activity so we can return to normality.
We shall see.
