Hector's House

Amano

Our last day in Peru and we had a stroll over to the Amano Museum of Pre-Columbian Textiles, a museum of two halves in so far as there was a slightly dicey collection of contemporary art downstairs and an absolutely fabulous collection of Pre-Columbian textiles and ceramics upstairs. Some beautiful things - and a really nice space too, though we managed to resist the courtyard cafe and headed back instead in the direction of our hotel - via the Inca Market - where we'd already earmarked a nice-looking place for a sit down ahead of last-minute alpaca shopping and our taxi to the airport...
