Gazing at Degas

A wee day trip to the Burrell to visit the Degas exhibition. Very interesting information and I loved the exhibits particularly the bronzes which I hadn’t realised were only cast after his death from his rough wax sculptures. However I still don’t like the lighting in the downstairs special exhibition area - the spotlights can really blind you. I know they are keeping lighting low to protect the exhibits but it does make it uncomfortable at times.

We also had a walk around the surrounding paths in Pollok Park before a very nice lunch.

The shop is nicely framed by one of the magnificent doorways which Burrell collected.
