Beverley

A day of adventure as I travelled by train to Beverley, East Yorkshire via Hull.

My friend V had won a Coral Racing Club be an Owner for a day and I went as a guest. Beautiful Beverley is a scenic racecourse and has decent hospitality, the weather was kind.

The extra shows V admiring her horse, Phoenix of Dreams, in the parade ring; he came 2nd.

The return train times involved a lengthy journey so I had the joy of being driven across the Yorkshire wolds as the sun was setting (9.40) to stay overnight in Scarborough.

As we arrived back Simple Minds were finishing their set in Peasholm Park. Don’t you forget about me!

And I have n’t mentioned having to rescue two baby magpies trapped inside my greenhouse this morning. It’s all go.
