Music Festival Day 3

I had two events today. The lunchtime concert was at 1pm. Then a quartet in the evening.
A selection of musicians from Sedbergh School performed at lunchtime, we had a selection of performances, mostly from non exam years (sadly when I’m told someone is in year ?? it means nothing to me, but fortunately the chap introducing them translated it to old speak so they were mostly 3rd and 4th years. Mostly singers, but we also had 2 piano players (hence my blip) and some wind instruments. The final performance was incredible. Out came a set of what looked like metal dustbins and we were expecting a Caribbean steel band, but it was more like Japanese drummers. You could feel the vibrations! Great finale!
But the day hadn’t finished. In the evening I went to see the Julian Cope Quartet. Two pieces by Mozart, followed by Dvorak’s String Quartet ‘American’ you can almost see the Great Plains in front of you. Excellent day.
Having intermittent showers during the day, the evening sky can be seen in extras. This was taken around 9.45 pm on my return home.
