A Floral Surprise!

My other half brought these gorgeous flowers home for me today after he'd been for an afternoon's shopping. Not quite sure what I've done to deserve them, but I'll graciously take them. I love flowers :) Not quite sure what they are though, at first I thought they were roses but on closer inspection I realised that they?re not, any ideas?
