Planets

It's a bank holiday weekend, and the weather is a bit mixed, but it was warm and dry enough for us to have our breakfast of eggs and avocado outside. This is the first time the cover has come off the outdoor table this year, and it was lovely. It did not last; it got cooler and windier as the afternoon approached, but it was a beautiful way to start Sunday. I felt much more awake than yesterday, as I got a good night's sleep. I woke to many lovely messages from the friends I saw last night, hoping I was feeling better. It was nice to reassure them I was fine.

We decided to walk to B&Q to visit their garden section and buy some plants for the outdoor planters. I was disappointed in the selection. Many areas had plants that did not look too healthy, but we found a few things that we thought would be suitable for our little space. I also bought some new outdoor solar lights to string up along the back. They have a flickering, flame effect. I hope they won't scare the neighbours into thinking the gardens are on fire.

We spent the remainder of the day weeding, planting and watering. It was nice to get outside for a while. The evening was spent cooking and watching the Antiques Roadshow. Don't tell my teenage self that those are what I would choose to do on a Sunday night when I am older.
