Not so much the beloved Hammy the Hamster of my childhood, but an actual day out in the field listening and learning, away from all the high falutin’ shenanigans which usually keep me busy. A literal breath of fresh air in Speyside, some of it in a shed at Boat of Garten, one of our several hundred gauging sites which make up Scotland’s hydrometric network.
