Abergele Bowling Club

Unusually, we had a morning fixture against Abergele so I was out of the door just after 9:00 am.

After yesterday's warm sunshine, today was cloudy and grey with the odd bit of drizzle.

I quite liked playing on the green here. It has its own peculiarities and gauging the length of each throw was quite a challenge. My opponent made the most of the home advantage and, at the beginning, I was trailing 3-12. Once I had the jack, I managed to pull back and level the score to 12-12 and then went on to win the game 21-18.

Overall, our team had four winners (out of ten players) and lost the aggregate so the final score was 8-4 to our opponents.

It's now 7:30 pm and at last the sun is making an appearance.
