Just gliding by

Took Holly to Maxwell Park this morning. Plenty of ducks and pigeons but not a gull to be seen. The swans with their two remaining cygnets were happy to stay at the far end of the pond away from the melee of ducks.

As we wandered round the pond I spotted the heron moving ever so slowly along beside the reeds. Eventually something spooked it and up into a tree it flew.
