Heading home

After the emotional ups and downs of yesterday we were soothed by having stayed in a lovely hotel in Winchester. We exited via this beautiful courtyard and a gorgeous summers day with horizon to horizon blue skies.
It was a relatively easy and quick drive home taking 4.5 hours including a lunch stop.
The big difference is how much colder and greyer it is up North. Around 4 the heavens opened and golly it’s wet out there. Like another world.
The only other notable event was Mr EAnn forgetting to take replacement hearing aid batteries with him. It made for a conversation free trip. A few words spoken loudly.
And now I need an early night.
