Not a tiny dog...

(sorry SK and Radish) but a tiny fly, looking rather cynically at me before being removed from the kitchen. Just to say, flies are rather annoying in hot summer climes, as are mosquitoes, and we have our fair share here in southern Spain. Furthermore, we are surrounded by goat herds which flies tend to love too! I try to ignore them outside but dislike them in the kitchen. But a small price to pay for the warmth and sunshine :-))

A busy day, unpacked, mopped and freshened up the dusty floors, stocked up the fridge with a grocery shop, filled the ice trays, swept the patio and said hello to the feral cats who by now know we are back and are lurking around corners. Enough for the first day! Tomorrow I'll be venturing out into the hills, probably at first light. Hikes need to be done before 11am as its just too warm after that.
