More vibrant colour in the garden
Nasturtiums red. We need a poem to do justice to these flames that have appeared this week. The author of the delphinium poem (see yesterday) created Edward J. Bear (Teddy Bear, aka Winnie-ther-Pooh) who grew nasturtiums by his front door and called them nasturshalums. You can eat the flowers, the leaves, and, especially, the seeds, which go well in salads. They have a mildly hot and spicy taste. Perhaps they are poisonous, but who cares?
