More flowers

I never understand the concept of the June gap, the time between the end of the spring flowers and the full on herbaceous high summer.  If you have roses the garden is awash with colour.  My father was a big lover of old roses and even in the cottage where he only spent 9 years he managed to establish a lot.  Here is the glorious Buff Beauty interacting with the gorgeous (insert name here!).   Mum’s carer has picked loads for the house which I was really pleased to see. 

I went over at lunchtime to measure the old fridge which has taken to freezing everything solid no matter how it is adjusted, so I can order a new one. I am very wary of malfunctioning fridges as we know they can cause fires so am glad to have got on it.  JL delivering on Friday. 

I had meetings right up until before and straight after so it was a case of whizzing over and back fairly swiftly.  

Managed a bit of gardening in my wild plot - the nepeta and salvia are doing well!

Rebus is finished with a desultory last episode that I didn’t realise was. Watched an episode of The Sympathiser.  Still thinking about that…
