Monday: Downpour

This is our back courtyard by the kitchen and is intended to show you that the rains really have started.  We had quite a good downpour today - I’m not sure this picture really does it justice.

So my scratchy throat did turn into something (I blame the woman who coughed all the way behind me from London to Newark).  That, and jet lag, made for a very poor night’s sleep.  So I’ve started my week with a sick day.

I’m hoping for a more restful night.
