A chilly start

Oh my goodness, it was bitterly cold this morning as Bertie and I walked along the track to Kildavie, exposed to the blast of wind from the north. However, by the time we had nearly completed the circular walk the wind was behind us, the sun had come out and it felt decidedly warm, and I felt over-dressed. Despite the cold, I really enjoyed our walk, listening to birds warning their young of our approach, looking at the variety of colours in the flowers and grasses. I loved this pink grass that is just coming into “flower”.
Back home, I did some washing and made lettuce soup for Lunch Club tomorrow as I have an excess of salad leaves growing in the vegepod.
