Claire from Altred Images

A fab start the day at Northampton parkrun (2 laps of the racecourse). Unseasonably cool, damp weather, good paths, some congestion at the start and a deceptive incline, but lots of encouraging marshals and a super first timer welcome. All made for a fast course, so delighted with my official time of 31:02. No hanging about at the end for a chat, instead back to the hotel for a quick shower to ready ourselves for Let's Rock. 

Let's Rock Northampton had some memorable acts. Tony Hadley was excellent; Boom Town Rats were crazy; Heaven 17 were good; Billy Ocean was classic Billy; but one of the unexpected highlights was Claire from Altered Images.  Made us feel young again! Brilliant.

The weather was cold, but we layered up, 3 thunderstorms came through, but we sheltered under the brolly- nothing, it seemed could dampen our enthusiasm. Looking forward to next year.
