Cumbria Here I Come

By marpaul

The haaf netting season has begun.  I was so lucky to capture this shot of a guy in the sunset.  For those of you who don't know .... its a unique tradition believed to have been brought to the Scotland/England border by the Vikings in 900AD.  Not many people do it these days as there are restrictions on how many fish can be caught.

Quite a pleasant day today so plenty of gardening done.  A neighbour very kindly tried to sort out my strimmer for me.  He's the kind of guy who can do anything but he had to admit defeat!  So looks like I need a new one.
