Modern Two

The impending rain looked closer and heavier on the radar than it was, so I didn't cycle. Instead I walked over to Modern One and Two. The Tracing Time exhibit is well presented; I particularly like the thread embedded in cotton paper pieces; this one (Staircases) is nearly 2m tall and took a team to make while the paper was wet.  Review with making details

Tea in the cafe; in extra, lettuces flourishing in the wet .. 

Came back by the Water of Leith path; had forgotten that it would be busy with visitors. Out again later in the other direction on the Water; still looking for those nine cygnets. Very little bird life at all visible in the early evening; one moorhen and several mallards. Work continues on the path just upstream from the new section at Coalie Park.
