Ramadan Kareem

Ramadan starts tomorrow morning at sunrise. Life for the next month changes. Because we live in a Muslim country, we are not allowed to eat, drink or smoke during the fasting hours from sunrise to sunset. Not even a sip of water. All restaurants, coffee shops and fast food outlets are also closed during the day. Anyone caught breaking the rule will be fined BD 100 (about £200) and can end up in jail for a year. Im going to be a good girl!
Shopping hours have also changed too. The malls will be open from 10:00am - 4:30pm then from 8:00pm till 2:00am. So late night shopping is the way to go!
Our supermarkets will be open from 9:30am till 2:30am.
