A final paddle

I got out to Smith Cove this morning. It was beautiful if a little choppy on the water. I paddled around the island. There were seals out on the rocks since the tide was falling. I don't get close to them. I think I would have a heart attack if one swam under my kayak...lol. They all splashed into the water and were bobbing around looking at me. I left them in peace and they left me in peace. I don't think they would do anything but I'm not the most comfortable with the unknown lurking in the sea water...
I've just futzed about today with this and that. We got the last bit of the pod packed and I tried to stuff as many blankets as I could into the gaps to keep things from shaking around.
I forgot to mention that yesterday I got together with friends from my school days here. We went out for our usual drinks and food at Margaritta's. It was great to catch up with them. They were all such good folks to work and laugh with.
Tomorrow I fly back to Denver then drive up to Wyoming. I'll be glad to be back in Laramie.
