It’s that day again

Two days that mean something to me - Sussex Day because I’ve lived in my adopted county for more than sixty years, and I’m still discovering how beautiful it is.
And of course, Father’s Day. How I wish he was still here to be made a fuss of. He’d have loved to have seen the pretty things I saw today.
If you’re still lucky enough to have your father, please treasure him, because life is short. The pink poppy I photographed in the garden  only this morning is nothing but a bare seed-pod now.
