Days spent with the Grass and Sun
Today started off well.
we were up at the allotment and drinking hot chocolate on the bench at 9 am .
The rain had just stopped and the sun was making everything steam. I picked the strawberries, 1.65 kilo of strawberries. Si pulled the first of the earlies. Enough for dinner tonight and tomorrow. (One plant).
I then set about weeding my flower bed again. My sunflowers are still not big enough to go in. I wonder if they will be. ever.
Si was filling the tanks, so we stayed longer than we maybe intended, so I carried on weeding.
As I was working on the path, I became aware of a nagging headache ,but knew a drink would put me right.
I finished the path and moved to the asparagus bed. Si had also planted a squash in there too. So many weeds, so very very many weeks. Ipulled a tiny baby nettle and oh my goodness the pain in my arm.
We packed up. Loads of Strawberries, potatoes, Sweet peas, rhubarb. Lots of plans fo much cooking.
Got home, showered, cup of tea, and then we headed to Sainsbury. We have finally convinced Si that Patterned shirts are no bad thing. He bought one a few weeks ago, and when he said he was interested in another - I wasn't hesitating. He bought two!!!
On the way home - my head go steadily worse. I could barely hold my head up. At 4 i went to bed. I asked Si to wake me in forty five minutes, and I think he did, but I didn't make it out of bed til 6.30. I came downstair and couldn't hold my head up. I lay on the couch for half an hour while Si cooked, and I couldn't bare it any longer.
Back to bed.
I made it back up about 9.45. And ate a bit of my dinner. And then went back to bed.
I stayed in bed
