Sgwarnog: In the Field

By sgwarnog

Furrow

It rained all day, but brightened up in the evening, so I headed out for a late walk on the moor.

I walked across to Sconce in the hope of some Barn Owl activity - they are supposed to be very active after an extended spell of rain - but there was no sign in their usual spot. I did see and hear Culrlew, Lapwing, and Oystercatcher though, as well as the small birds: Willlow Warbler (extra) Stonechat and so on.

It was while scanning the fields at the edge of the moor for owls, that I noticed what seems to be a ridge and furrow pattern in this one field. The low sun helped to bring out the pattern.
