Dad, 1938

Happy Heavenly Father's Day, Dad!  Here he is at just 20 years old.  He was such a spiffy dresser back in the day and he was always so proud of his cars.  The war and marriage to mom, was still years away.  I really love this photo of him.  I remember when Gone with the Wind was first shown on television, around 1976 I think, I asked him what he had thought of the movie when it came out in 1939.  He said what he remembered of it was that he crashed his car on the way to the theater to see it.  This car?  I don't know.  This year is the 85th anniversary of the movie and the 26th anniversary of dad's death.  So many memories.
