Eid-al-adha

Woke in time for an eight o’ clock swim. I could hear the amplified voice of an iman leading prayers, he had a melodic voice. After leaving the baths I walk down Scott Hall road, the prayers were over and the assembled worshippers were dispersing. At least they had a warm and sunny morning for their gathering. I guess the grass was damp and folk didn’t want to hang around.

The city of Leeds looks ever so close with the arena and assorted skyscrapers dominating the horizon. In fact there is a valley between the high ground of the cricket club and the Arena Quarter.
