Caro At First Sight

My Dear Amy,

I have been keeping things from you! 

Not on purpose. But because SECRET PARTY SECRETS. 

So for the 25th Anniversary Party, I decided to put together a reel of well wishes from friends and family around the world. And people were just lovely and sent them in.

AND THEN I HAD A THOUGHT

So I emailed MAFS fan favourite Lucinda Light and asked her if she did personalised celebrity messages. And I got an email back! 

Not from Lucinda. From her TEAM.

Team Lucinda said yes she does. And if you supply us with three facts about Caro we will send you an invoice and then "Lu" will send you a video! Cost will be about $150 NZD so I guess 75 pounds. Which was fine. Totally worth it!

And THEN

I looked around to see who ELSE might do it. No way to contact Timbo or Tristan or Andrea. Cassie has an AGENT so I figured she was out. 

BUT

Natalie has a public email address on her Instagram account. I sent her basically the same email as I sent Team Lucinda. 

SO

Natalie was so lovely! She replied the very next day, didn't ask for any money and sent me TWO videos, including one with her doggie! This did mean she didn't have any facts about Caro and talked a lot about gaming, but the thought was there. 

And then Team Lucinda swung into action and her video came through about two weeks later. It was very cool. She calls Caro a "gaw-geous crea-chah" and a "magical woman" so I was just delighted with it. 

Since I am now writing this AFTER the party I can tell you that all of this took Caro by complete surprise. She LOVED it. So the evening was extra-special because MAFS.

You can read tomorrow's entry about how the party itself went tomorrow. Right now I'm too hungover to type all of that in. Which in itself should tell you something about how it went.

And finally - it goes without saying I didn't even BOTHER with Tori, Jack or bloody Collins.
