EYE POSTS?

Minuca pugnax, commonly known as the Atlantic marsh fiddler crab, is a species of fiddler crab that lives on north-western shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Wikipedia
The tide was low today when we were at my cousins home. She lives in our grandparents home on the farm. When I walked down to the pier the fiddler crabs were having a grand time in the mud and puddles in the marsh. Can you see the eye posts on the crabs peeking out of the mud. The males have the large claw. It looked like something out of a horror movie. We do not have Fiddler crabs in our marsh and  I am thankful for it.
We took my mother for a ride in our new truck and stopped by the American Legion for takeout dinners. They had big BBQ smokers and grills going. We took her home and had a delish meal together. We also took her some crabs to pick. A good day was had by all again! Hope yours was just as nice.
