Bologna

It was actually hot today in Bologna. We caught the bus to the City Centre at 9 am and weren’t back to the campsite until 5 so it was long day. We walked miles.
The main photo is of an elderly nun going into the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore which on the grand scale of basilicas and churches in Bologna is quite a minor one but was beautiful inside. She stood in quiet contemplation, and a shaft of light caught her clothing and the mosaic floor.
Extras a street artist and a collage of the Asinelli Tower and view from the clock tower, and most interestingly the anatomy dissection slab in the ancient university in the city. Surrounded by seating so that students could watch and learn their anatomy.
