The King’s Head

I walk past this pub whenever I walk back from Enfield / work / church. The back garden has been extensively redeveloped and attracts lots of custom. It’s one of those classy pubs.

But I’m ashamed to say that I’ve never noticed before today that the outside booth’s were all named after Henry XIII’s wives - not just the wives who the King had the heads, but all of them. Clever I think. After all, whether he chopped off their heads or not, he still sealed their fates one way or another.

The Bible studies were tricky today. Romans chapter 6. Glad to have excellent notes from RJ. Really hoped to go swimming after but didn’t get a chance.
