Crookston Castle .....

..... a ruined medieval castle in the Pollok area of Glasgow. It sits high on a hill but is almost invisible from the road owing to the very large trees surrounding it.

We did manage to climb up to the top of the tower but I doubt if either of us will do it again. Spiral staircase ... OK, but the almost vertical metal ladders were not for the faint hearted .... up forwards and down backwards were the very clear instructions.
