I came across another reminder that the woods was once the grounds of the largest asylum in Europe.
It was open from 1851 to 1992 and at one point held 3,000 patients. It was also famously the location of the Great Porridge Strike on 6 April 1913.

Apart from that the day was food shopping, wet dog walks & a home made salmon, leek & broccoli pasta bake in a wholegrain mustard & Gran Padarno bechamel sauce.

Rather nice it was too.
